I’m calling this post Brocade since the pattern reminds me of those old, woven silk tapestries from ye olden days.

The base is ELF Smoky Brown and the pattern is stamped with Kleancolor Metallic Orange.

China Glaze ~ Side Saddle

I absolutely adore this polish. It is such a beautiful, sophisticated shade, and it has such depth. The formula is great as well. Love it!

Stamping Sunday: Halloween

I love Halloween! Seriously, who doesn’t like zombies, ghosts, witches and spookiness?

For my design I chose to stamp two shades of metallic orange (Kleancolor Metallic Mango and Metallic Orange) over mattified black (a-England Camelot). The plate I used is Bundle Monster BM224.

Pink Ribbons

A simple little stamping mani for breast cancer awareness. Not my best attempt, but I thought it was kind of cute.

Did you know that all forms of cancer are strongly linked to eating dairy (and other animal-)products by the way? If you haven’t already, I suggest checking out The China Study, which is the study cited in the Forks over Knives documentary. I’m not looking to force my ideals and beliefs on you fine folk, but I believe in seeing all sides of an argument, and then forming your own, educated, opinion.

Gold Filigree

This idea popped into my head when I was playing around with polishes that could work for stamping. It’s a very subtle stamping, but I have to say that I love it!

The gold is a-England Holy Grail, and it worked really well for stamping. Hope you like this mani as much as I do!

Kleancolor ~ Chunky Holo Bluebell

I was very excited to try out the “holo” glitters I got in my Kleancolor order. Of course there is nothing holo about Chunky Holo Bluebell, but it does have beautiful multichrome chunky glitter in a pale blue jelly base.

I layered one coat over a base of Collection 2000 BMX Bandit, which is in the same colour family as the jelly base. The glitters are the same for all Chunky Holos, so I only bothered getting the Chunky Holo Black in addition to this one, as the glitter is differently sized in it.

The drying time was no problem with a top coat, and I just love the colour shifts in this polish! Gorgeous!

Green on Green

This is one of my first Kleancolor stamping tests. I wanted to try out Kleancolor Metallic Green first of all, because, well, it’s green!

It worked really well to stamp with. It looks more gold than green in the images, but I think that’s just over the green base. Over a white base for instance I’m sure it would look proper green. The base is China Glaze Jolly Holly.

Kleancolor ~ Pastel Pink

It seems suitable for the first October post (yes, I have been a very lazy blogger) to be a pink polish, in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Pastel Pink makes me happy. The colour is amazingly juvenile, and makes me feel super girly.

The formula is okay. It’s quite thick and a bit difficult, but covers nicely. If I wasn’t planning on using this polish mainly for stamping, I would thin it down. Dried reasonably quickly and wore surprisingly well. I had this beauty on for three days without tip-wear, before finally removing it. Even my boyfriend remarked that I had been wearing it FOR A VERY LONG TIME. Yes, told you I had been lazy.
